The Ministry of National Defense today (29^th) pointed out that in response to torrential rain in certain district of the southern part of ROC and Taitung, the Ministry of National Defense, each Command Headquarters and the Emergency Response Center of the Fourth Operations District remain first-level offering, and the Fifth Operations District remain second-level offering.

The Ministry of National Defense pointed out that the national army has assign 13,649 soldiers, 620 vehicles, 101 fighting vehicles, 90 rubber boats, 260 pumps and 734 sterilizer as of now, and has evacuated 820 people, piled up 9,430 sandbags, cleaned and disposed 160.91 tons of mud and rock, transported 6.9 tons of supplies, clear the city appearance 3,216.99 tons, road cleaning 152.97km, cleared 43 government institutions and schools, cleaned 811,446 poultries and 772 pigs, disinfected 1,298,785 square meters of environment and pumped 197,640,000 gallons of water.

The Ministry of National Defense emphasized that it will closely monitors precipitation and maintain closely contact with local governments to make timely adjustment of the deployment of human resources and machines and jointly ensure the lives, property and safety of ROC people.
